Final project – Foundations Term

This project marks the conclusion of my foundations term at Think Tank Training Centre, and represents a major learning milestone for me.
The goal was to translate a stylized 2D concept into a clean, readable 3D character while balancing exaggerated proportions, strong silhouettes, and hard-surface elements. A big focus throughout the process was maintaining clarity while gradually increasing complexity.

Workflow:

- Modeling & blockout: Maya

- AO & curvature baking: Substance Painter

- Texturing: Mari

- Lighting, compositing & final polish: Nuke & Photoshop

This piece was built using techniques taught during the foundations term and helped solidify my understanding of how modeling, materials, and presentation work together to support strong visual storytelling.
